This week I had the pleasure of meeting a young angler from north Georgia. Brodie K came in just about every day for supplies and a fishing update.  His report: “We fished from Mexico Beach in 4-7 foot of water.  The baits we used were Zman scented shrimpZ in New Penny and Natural.  I was also able to catch them on the Savage 3D shrimp.

SCALLOPS!  The moment everyone has waited for has finally arrived.  Starting Saturday, September 23rd through Sunday, October 8th St. Joseph Bay will be open for harvesting scallops. Read about it here.   Get your gear ready!

What else is hot: Crabbing along the shoreline, trout, flounder, reds, Spanish, kings, and mangrove snapper.  Fishing has not slowed down.  Hit the water this weekend to catch and gather your own seafood platter.
